Association of Italian diving companies

Nautilus is associated with the Association of Italian Underwater Companies (AISI) which represents the interests of operators in the industrial, offshore and onshore diving sector.

AISI

The operating procedures implemented by AISI (which follow the IMCA international guidelines) were used by the Working Group which drafted the national UNI 11366 standard on safety in diving and industrial hyperbaric activities.

The Decree Law of 24 January 2012, in the art. 16 refers to the UNI 11366 standard on safety and health protection in underwater and hyperbaric activities at the service of industry. This reference gives the UNI 11366 standard a mandatory value. Article 16, point 2, establishes that the activities "referred to in Article 53 of Presidential Decree 24 May 1979, n. 886, the good technical rules of UNI 11366 are carried out in accordance with current standards ".

Article 53 of Presidential Decree no. 886 of 1979 concerns the provisions on the use of underwater operators, "working performance in immersion for positioning the platform, for the inspection and maintenance of submerged equipment or for similar works". These activities "must be carried out:

only by experienced and physically suitable personnel
directed by a manager of proven ability

in compliance with the relevant regulations and the rules of good practice".

The reference to UNI 11366 defines a legislative, regulatory and procedural framework that guarantees professional diving activities in the name of maximum safety.
